Retail Sales/Merchandising – This
course, which combines classroom and community class classroom
placement, is designed to prepare students for entry level
employment in marketing / sales or for further education/training
leading to careers in sales and marketing. Community classroom
placement is correlated to the students classroom instruction
and leadership involvement to cover the course core competency
units of marketing principals, store policies, leadership
skills, communication, buying and pricing, wholesaling, promotion,
economic principals, distribution, display, selling concepts,
advertising and job readiness.
