Virtual Enterprise – This course is
a school-site simulated internet based business that offers
students the opportunity to experience all facets of being
an owner, operator and or employee of a business. The students
determine the nature of the business, its products and services,
management and structure. The students will create a business
plan and document the business progress against the plan.
Students will engage in a variety of specific activities ranging
from marketing and research, advertising campaigns, buying
and selling products, paying wages & taxes, to negotiating
loans with the Virtual Business Center. The major difference
between the Virtual Enterprise and real business is that real
money or products never change hands as virtual business transactions
and sales of non-physical products are conducted via the internet.
