TCOVE ROP prepares students 16 years of age and older for
work in a wide variety of career pathways or options through
both traditional classroom instruction and work sight based
community classroom internship placement. While engaging in
and learning real world job skills, high school students will
earn credits or units towards graduation. Some TCOVE ROP courses
are accepted, through articulation agreements, for credit
by local community colleges offering similar or more advanced
training. TCOVE ROP course enrollment gives students an opportunity
to explore a career option in a fun, productive and non-traditional
learning environment. More importantly, TCOVE ROP experience
can help establish a well paying job to assist with college,
establish a career or start a new career.
No matter the career choice, the TCOVE ROP can offer students
the means to network and make contacts that can help them
throughout their life. Also, upon successful completion of
a TCOVE ROP class, students receive a Certificate of Completion
documenting both exposure to the principles of work ethics,
communication and team building skills along with subject
specific technical competencies.
