On-the Job Training – Community Classroom (unpaid)

Is an extension of Classroom Instruction
Expands classroom competencies
Does not provide OJT placement site with immediate benefit
Does not affect OJT placement site employment staffing
Does not include productive work
Enrolled student has Works’ Compensation Insurance provided by the TCOVE ROP school district from which the ROP class emanates

On-the-Job Training – Cooperative Vocational Education (paid)

Is an extension of Classroom Instruction
Is in a related occupation
Is regularly scheduled OJT
 
     8 hours per week minimum
 
     15 hours per week maximum
Enrolled student has Workers’ Compensation Insurance provided by OJT placement site employer

Related Classroom Instruction

Related to On-the-Job Training
Concurrent with On-the-Job Training
Formal Classroom Instruction
Scheduled a minimum of one instructional period (50 minutes) per week
Schedule an average of three instructional periods (50 minutes) per week for the length of the program
Designed for a maximum of 30 students per class/section
Designed for a maximum of 75 students per instructor
